Irish Smart Grid analytics start-up GridWatch Mac selected for Free Electrons 2018

Free Electrons, the global energy start-up accelerator programme, connecting the world’s most promising energy start-ups with leading utility companies, has selected 15 start-ups to participate in a 6 month programme and compete for $200,000 prize money.

GridWatch Mac, an electronics and software company based in Limerick that provides smart data monitoring for energy utilities has been selected as one of 15 start-ups. With over 515 applications from 65 countries, GridWatch and 14 other start-ups from around the world will work with international energy utilities, including ESB, to refine and test their products with the potential to reach 73 million customers located in 40 countries. 

ESB and its international counterparts will work with the 15 start-ups across modules in Sydney, Silicon Valley, and Berlin to develop their products and grow their business for the international markets, in order to accelerate their company’s growth.
