ESB partners with TechSpace
ESB is proud to partner with TechSpace the national movement that aims to change the lives of young people in Ireland by becoming Ireland’s leading creative technology network for outcome-focused youth development.
The TechSpace Network is made of a consortium of youth organisations, schools and partners as members, and is managed centrally by Social Enterprise Camara Education Ireland. The TechSpace programme enhances the work of teachers, volunteers and youth workers to give young people access to a space where they can create, invent and inspire through STEAM and Digital Creativity (Film-making, Animation, Photography, Graphic Design, Mojo, projection, AR and VR).
ESB is supporting and investing in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) education in Ireland through our Generation Tomorrow programme. By partnering with organisations like Techspace, we want to empower Ireland's young people to reach their full potential and power their collective brighter future.
ESB Creative Tech Fest
As part of our partnership with TechSpace, ESB sponsors the annual ESB Creative Tech Fest event.
ESB Creative Tech Fest is the national showcase of the TechSpace network where young people are recognised for their project work in STEAM and Digital Media, and have the opportunity to engage in in workshops, talks and interactive exhibitions.
The 2019 ESB Creative Tech Fest event took place in the Convention Centre, Dublin, and nearly 500 young people aged between 10 and 18 from over 70 youth clubs and organisations across Ireland attended. The Irish language was also at the heart of the event with bilingual workshops, awards, exhibitions and live performances.
Adam Ó Cuinneagáin (pictured above) was named ESB TechSpacer of the Year at the 2019 event for his project work on advanced computer science and VR. Adams project work demonstrates his creative mindset and his desire to help create a brighter future through technology and coding.
